How do I apply?

This registration will give students access to our dedicated ENGR90033 Internship portal where internships will be advertised. Students may also self-source internships (subject to approval by the subject coordinator). Students taking self-sourced internships must still meet the eligibility criteria for the subject.
If you believe that you are eligible, but have not been invited to register your interest, email .
Note: Students will not be able to enrol into ENGR90033 Internship through the Student Portal until their internship has been approved and signed off.
Do I have to find my own internship or am I assigned one?
We hope to advertise a series of internships every semester through the ENGR90033 Internship portal. Students will be able to apply for these internships and successful students will be invited to interview. This is a competitive process and internships will be limited.
Students can also source internships independently. You will need to email us the proposed position description and industry contract details, including industry supervisor details, so that we can assess it for suitability.
The deadline for advising that you have potentially sourced your own Internship is two weeks before the teaching period commencement date quoted in the Handbook.
Students wanting to take ENGR90033 Internship must have 25 points of free elective credit in their degree. Students unsure of their course requirements or elective credits, should book a course advice appointment. In Semesters 1 and 2, ENGR90033 Internship can be taken along with one additional 12.5-point subject, but students are encouraged to select a subject that can be taken alongside their workplace commitments. Students should not take a 50 point load while taking ENGR90033 Internship. Summer enrolment is restricted to 25 points so students cannot take another subject alongside ENGR90033 Internship.
