Student ambassador leadership program (SALP)

We are looking for outgoing Engineering and IT students to volunteer for our Student Ambassador Leadership Program.

Student Ambassadors participate in a range of recruitment events and activities and help promote Engineering and IT programs through various forms of social media.

A group of students, 3 of them in hardhats and high-vis vests.

Who can apply?

Students who meet the following criteria are invited to apply to the Student Ambassador Program:

  • Completion of a minimum of one semester of study in a Master of Engineering (all specializations), Master of Information Technology or Master of Information Systems (with a minimum average of 70%) OR
  • Enrolled in Master of Engineering Structures, Graduate Certificate in Port Engineering, Master of Energy Systems, Master of Engineering Management or Master of Environmental Engineering OR
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne with a minimum 70% average AND enrolment in one of the Master of Engineering, Master of Information Technology or Master of Information Systems for commencement in semester 1 2019.

This is a volunteer based opportunity designed to assist students in gaining work experience and valuable communication skills. While no financial remuneration is provided, successful applicants to the Student Ambassador Leadership Program will have access to free communications and leadership training, a genuine job reference and the program appears on your student transcript.
