Ken Eltham Scholarship
This scholarship has been established by Mr Kenneth Eltham and reflects the Eltham family's strong commitment to education opportunity - especially in engineering. Kenneth gained a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) at the University of Melbourne in 1951; his father, Ernest Eltham, had also graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) in 1925.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be an Australian citizen
- be enrolled in a 300-point engineering Master by coursework degree with Faculty of Engineering and IT
- have completed at least 100 points and fewer than 200 points of study in your current course
Value
In 2024, one scholarship valued at $25,000 is available. This will be paid in biannual instalments over two years.
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Financial need, as determined by information provided in your 2024 FEIT Student Financial Assessment form
- Strength of your personal statement outlining your:
- interest in your chosen field of Engineering,
- career aspiration; and
- the proposed use and impact of the scholarship
