Harold Swanton Scholarship
This scholarship was made possible through a generous bequest from the late Harold Swanton, who was born in 1912 and completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the University of Melbourne in 1937. Mr Swanton was a regular attendee at alumni events and showed an active interest in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology until he passed away in 2015.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be in your first semester of one of the following specialised degrees within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology(FEIT) :
- be experiencing financial hardship
- identify as a woman
Value
In 2022, two scholarships are available. Each scholarship is valued at $8,800 and will be paid in a single payment.
One scholarship will be awarded in Semester 1, during Round 1. The second scholarship will be awarded in Semester 2, during Round 2.
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Academic merit
- The strength of a personal statement outlining your career aspirations and the difference this scholarship support will make to you.
