Nicola Andrews Scholarship
This scholarship supports talented women who are passionate about making a difference in the field of biomedical engineering. It has been made possible through a donation from Glynda Andrews who wishes to honour and memorialise her daughter, Nicola Andrews. Nicola was an alumna and student of the University, having completed a Bachelor of Production in 2010 and Bachelor of Science in 2015.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be female
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- be enrolled in your penultimate year of the Master of Engineering (Biomedical)/ Master of Biomedical Engineering, meaning that you have completed more than 100 points but less than 200 points at the time of applying.
Value
In 2023, one scholarship valued at $20,000 is available. This will be paid in biannual installments over two years.
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Strength of a personal statement demonstrating a passion to make a difference in the field of biomedical engineering.
- Academic merit
Conditions
Recipients are required to pass all subjects each year of the course to maintain the scholarship.
