Student Enrichment Grants
Funding is available for Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology coursework students to attend conferences, programs or experiences to enhance your learning and broaden your university experience.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be a current student in a masters by coursework program within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at The University of Melbourne with at least one semester remaining in their degree at the time of the planned experience;
- be proposing an experience which does not directly contribute to course credit or assessment;
- submit a risk assessment for the intended experience and/or travel;
- not have previously received an Enrichment Grant
Following the completion of your enrichment experience, you will be required to provide a written report to the Faculty. Part, or all, of this report may be used for marketing or promotional purposes.
Value
Individual funding may vary and is subject to approval by the Faculty; below is a guide of indicative amounts:
- $500 for experiences within Australia
- $1,000 for international experiences
Please note:
- For approved applications where travel is involved, funding will be released once proof of approved travel insurance has been provided.
- Funding will not be granted for course fees under any circumstances, including online courses that do not promote active student involvement.
- Applications submitted for experiences retrospectively will not be approved.

Apply between 26 January - 5 December 2024
Please allow approximately three weeks for processing. For experiences involving travel, funds will be released only upon evidence of having registered and been approved for travel insurance through the University Travel Insurance.
