Geotechnical Group Travel Scholarship

Established by the Geotechnical Group within the Department of Infrastructure Engineering, this scholarship supports Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology graduate research students in the geotechnical field.

The scholarship is awarded for the purpose of field work overseas or study at an overseas university or research institution.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:

• be enrolled in a research higher degree in the geotechnical field within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and
• have completed the equivalent of at least one year of candidature.

Value

In 2024, one award of approximately $2,000 is available.

Selection criteria

Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:

• Impact of travel on applicant's research
• Strength of applicant’s research
• Confirmation of additional financial support, if required
• Reputation of hosting organisation
• Reasonable budget
• Statement demonstrating ambassadorial potential of the experience for the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
