Kenneth Myers Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was generously established by family, friends and associates of the late Mr Kenneth Myers, a banker and financier and who had strong friendships within the Engineering community. Open for award to students undertaking research in the field of engineering, the two-year scholarship assists students with travel overseas to pursue study and research.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to:
- be enrolled in a research higher degree in an engineering field within the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, and
- propose to undertake travel in person to one or more international destinations which will directly benefit your research.
Value
In 2024, one scholarship valued at approximately $10,000 is available. This will be paid in annual instalments over two years.
Selection criteria
Applications will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Academic Merit, assessed via the personal statement and supporting document (CV, most recent progress report (where applicable), supervisor’s statement of support);
- Merit of the proposed travel experience and its relevance to your research
- Reputation of hosting organisation;
- Ambassadorial potential of the experience for the Faculty
